It was 1945 when Antonio Demontis, determined to face the difficulties of the immediate post-war period, had the idea of transforming two Ape motorbikes into rickshaws for transporting people.
The experiment was an unexpected success and Antonio decided to obtain licences to start up a taxi and car rental business with driver.

So in 1950, with the entry into the company of their son Pasqualino, the Demontis family was ready to take its first big step into the world of car rental: car rental without a driver.
Autonoleggi Demontis was born, the first rental agency in Sardinia, which by 1965 had already opened offices in Alghero, Cagliari and Olbia.
For over 60 years Autonoleggi Demontis hasbeen carrying on this journey, crossing the technological revolutions and social achievements of three generations of Sardinians.
