Located just 30 km from Olbia on the northeastern coast of Sardinia, Cannigione is a hamlet of Arzachena, known to be one of the best-equipped and most sought-after tourist centers. What to see
Nature and enchanting beaches between Arzachena and the Emerald Coast
Cannigione is undoubtedly the ideal base for visiting the Costa Smeralda and its most famous towns: Baja Sardinia is just 10 km away and can therefore be easily reached with one of our scooters or rental cars.
A little further along the coast we find Poltu Quatu, Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. In this stretch of coastline the beaches of Capriccioli, Cala di Volpe, Liscia Ruja and the Romazzino beach are certainly worth a visit. Going north towards Palau, on the other hand, La Conca, Tanca manna, Mannena, Barca bruciata and Isuledda can be reached in a short time.
From Cannigione we then recommend a boat trip to La Maddalena and its archipelago, during which you can also visit Caprera and bathe in crystal-clear, unspoiled waters. The tourist center of Cannigione also offers a very pleasant town beach equipped with every service, a very active marina and a waterfront animated by bars and restaurants.
Finally, if you are a lover of nature beyond the sea and the beaches, the Cannigione area also offers the pond of Padula Saloni, unmissable at dawn and at sunset because of the color taken on by the bushes that surround it, and Punta Occhione, from the top of which you will enjoy a splendid panorama that embraces the entire gulf as far as Palau's Bear Rock.
One last piece of advice. If you're staying for a few days, head to Arzachena and from there take the famous Trenino Verde (little green train ) from Palau to Tempio: you'll pass through magical landscapes in an atmosphere of other times.

The courses are genuine and often original, the fish obviously always very fresh, and the veranda overlooking the sea a real treat for a special evening in Cannigione.
Baltolu Trattoria - Da Ottavio
Located opposite the Prickly Pear Islet, in a prime location overlooking the Gulf of Cannigione, it is a family-run trattoria-pizzeria. It offers typical cuisine based on local products and fresh fish, in a renovated and well-kept location, with even an outdoor veranda. Very good pizzas and also worth trying is their vermentino.
